HOT WATER!

I don't think I have ever been as excited about washing dishes as I was tonight when I could run a sink full of hot water straight out of the tap. See, our water heater has been broken since July and today a plumber came and installed a new one. It's a long story that I won't bore you with but the short version is after three months of heating water in pots on the stove and taking them upstairs each night for hot baths we now can turn on the hot water and fill up the tub! Charlie and the big boys have actually been taking cold showers for the last couple of months. Brrrrrr.

If the plumber guy hadn't looked so scruffy and smelled of the cheap Palmar cigarettes I saw hanging out of his pocket I might have just hugged his neck. Instead I just paid him and sent him on his merry way.

Thank you LORD for HOT WATER!!!

Oh, did I mention that we move to a bigger house in 13 days? Wa-hoo!

Yay for hot water! I'm sure it must be nice to feel somewhat normal again. :) I came home yesterday to a cold house and eventually learned that I'm out of gas (and the tank was filled a little over a month ago). So I have a gas leak somewhere! Yikes! Good thing for space heaters. This house is teaching me more about missionary living than my South African homes ever did! haha :)
