Good gifts

James 1:17

¹⁷ Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows.

I was sitting this morning, thinking about this verse, and I started to list all the things that God has gifted me/us with...in no order of importance:

Penicillin (except I'm allergic to it now, but it helped me a lot when I was younger), CPR, flowers, corn, lettuce, glasses, cochlear implants, c-sections, cars, springtime, wintertime, snow, rain, dew, wind, sand, waves, the SUN, moon, stars, wool, cotton, polyester, music, touch, hugs, kisses, warmth, pillows, blankets, pizza, oranges, clementines, palm trees, sand, mountains, clouds, toes, balance, running, our incredible hearts and brains, MMR vaccines, airplanes, ships, intuition, the HOLY SPIRIT, guitars, pianos, soccer, swimming, oceans, lakes, clouds, birthday cake, tomatoes, cheese, black beans, fire, YOUR WORD, sunrises, sunsets, moon glow, aurora borealis, reefs, ice caps, glaciers, forests, fall, deer, owls, fish, turtles, insects (but not mosquitoes, wasps, or park town prawns), humidity, meteorology, telephones, Skype, candles, washing machines, foil, flannel, fleece, Bible covers, paper, pens, computers, email, laughter, games, ukuleles, giraffes, violins, Kindles, eggs, animals (except snakes), donuts, Dr. Pepper, pajamas, birthday cards, dates with my husband, harmony, pens, sharp pencils, our sense of humor, toilet paper, memories, bicycles, history, bubble wrap, chocolate, bananas, sweet tea, marriage, FAMILY, friends who are like FAMILY, generosity, compassion, love, joy, peace, patience, goodness, kindness, gentleness, self control, JESUS (who is MY PORTION forever).
