Our missionary sending agency, imb, has a program for young people who want to get a taste for international missions during their college/seminary years called the Hands-On program. This past January a young man named Jeremiah Johnson arrived in Mozambique to spend his semester working closely with imb missionaries John and Wanne Dina, up in the central part of the country. Tragically, Jeremiah was killed in a motorcycle accident yesterday, April 12, in central Mozambique.
Jeremiah and his Mozambican colleague , who was seriously injured in the accident, had been involved with sports evangelism and church planting in a difficult area.
*Please pray for Jeremiah's family and friends in America.
*Please pray for J's host family, the Dinas and his friends here in Mozambique as they grieve this loss - remembering that we do not grieve as those who have no hope - Jeremiah's hope was in Christ Jesus, as is ours. To God be the glory.

My heart goes out to the families involved. What a great loss here on earth, but also what a great testimony note to leave on.

Ditto what Mich said. His family has been in my prayers.
We prayed for his family--and all of you--at BCM Tuesday night. Love you--
How painful, but I love the verse you quoted. SO much comfort in that. Definiitely praying for those directly invloved.
