How we ended up with 24 boxes of pizza for supper tonight.
The plan for supper this evening was pizza. Charlie called in the order and I was to pick it up at 5:00 on my way home from youth group. I arrived at 5:05 at the pizza place, paid at the till then went to the pizzeria section to pick up our boxes of pizza. The two guys boxing the pizzas were laughing. Finally, after 3 explanations, we understood what they were laughing about. Charlie had ordered 6 pizzas (remember we have 2 teenage boys and we have 3 extra kids staying with us this week). Tonight there was a special buy-one-get-one-free promotion going that we didn't know about, so Charlie had really ordered 12 pizzas. Except they were out of the large pizza boxes so they had to cut each pizza in half and put each half in a small box - thus we ended up with 24 boxes of pizza! We were passing out pizza to people on the street on the way home. Our guard had pizza, the neighbor's guard had pizza and there was still enough to fill two ziploc bags that I put in the freezer. I'm glad my kids like pizza for breakfast.

HaHa! Only in Maputo! Oh well, you got to bless some people tonight. Too bad we live outside of town, you could have called us to come over and help. We are so helpful that way! BTW, I didn't say anything I didn't want you to read in the deleted post. It just didn't make sense once I re-read it.
HA!
We would have eaten it ALL.
You should have called us to come over! I thought buy one get one free day was Tuesday!! We miss Mimos. That is hilarious. But we know that the free pizza had to be EXACTLY like the purchased pizza. No of equal or lesser value over here! Ha. That is really funny. Happy pizza party! Love you guys!
Oh how I miss pizza.... especially Johnnys pizza in Minden.
That is hilarious! But I bet all the free-pizza-eaters loved it. And I just read your "whine" post--convicting. I'm a brat, too. Our church does the Lord's Supper like, once a quarter or something. Not near often enough.
My boys can put away some pizza, too, so pizza never goes to waste around here!
What do you mean your "guard" and your neighbor's "guard"??
