Each Wednesday I, along with my friend Stacie, lead a youth group for the teens at my kid's school. We average about 15 kids, ranging in age from 13-17, and representing 7 different countries.
We start off with games.
We eat!
Then we go upstairs for singing, Bible study,
activities and sometimes more games.
These kids are really sharp and fun to be with.
They are a real blessing to me.

What an awesome youth group. I know it's different, but your kids are getting some great experiences. I told Mike he should tell the students who've signed up for the Moz. trip to look at your blog to see where they're going! And the cornflake cracked me up. You should put it on ebay...

What a neat youth group. Right now, the youth group @ our church is my son's bright spot. It's funny--the teen years are so hard, and sometimes kids can act fairly unlovable--maybe that's why I always liked that age when I was working. I had this huge sense of empathy for them.

And lastly, I'm so sorry for the loss of your little dog. I KNOW all dogs go to heaven. I read a few of your posts, and that really touched me. I'm soooo the same way.

Thanks so much for your sweet comments, and it's so nice to finally meet the "roommate in Mozambique"! I've actually heard a lot about you from Aunt Kecia. I am definitely going to try to take some time to read through your blog. Foreign missions is a huge passion mine and Jason's. We really feel like God may eventually lead us to spend a few years serving as missionaries to a different country. Possibly somewhere in the U.K.??? We don't know, we're just waiting on His perfect timing. It's really neat to hear about your youth group. Jason is a youth minister. Stay in touch, OK?
OH, and FYI, I would TOTALLY LOOOOOVE to come to Mozambique to shoot your kids (with a camera)!!! I spent 8 weeks in Romania once and I'm totally hooked on living in new cultures!!!
