Sunday Thoughts

Happy 4th of July.....a couple of days late! We enjoyed a quiet fourth and ended the day with the rehearsal for our sweet friend Cara Beth's wedding. (Charlie helped perform the ceremony and Abby was her flower girl.) The rehearsal went well and after a yummy dinner we went to the home of Luke's Sunday school teacher to watch fireworks. I had never been that close to the spot where the fireworks are actually lit. It was really cool and really loud!

The wedding was beautiful and sweet and the reception was lots of fun. Abby looked beautiful in her baby blue dress and Charlie did a great job. (Pictures coming soon!)

The two weddings we have been a part of this summer have been extra special. 19 years ago when we got married these two brides were our flower girls then our daughter Abby was asked to be a flower girl for their weddings

To see pictures of another fun event from our summer go here to see the 2nd Ever Cousin Party held this past May in Bowling Green, Ohio. I love my sister - she is so much fun! She got up that day at the crack of dawn to start preparing for this party.

This a.m. in church we said the pledge of allegiance to the flag and sang the The Star Spangled Banner and My Country Tis of Thee. It was just a moving service for me, having been away from my home country for so long. It was so special to celebrate this 4th of July with other Americans IN AMERICA!!

The 4th of July service is always my favorite! I always cry when all the men stand up that have been in the service.
