10 on the Tenth

Dang it!  I always do this when I'm in a hurry and don't have time to do the cute little button from Mer.  Maybe later today.  Anyway here are my ten things.......TEN things I love about being a Mom.

1.Hearing my kids call me Mama
2.Listening to their stories
3.When it's Sunday a.m. and we are supposed to leave in 15 minutes and my 14 year old asks where his jeans are and they are not ironed (and very wrinkled!).  Yes, this just happened.  He's old enough to iron his own jeans now.  Yes they are still in a laundry basket and I am on the computer not folding clothes.
4. Laying in bed talking to my girl
5. Seeing the creative things my 14 year old son makes from scraps of junk
6. Hearing my 10 and 16 year olds play guitar
7. Listening  to them all talking to each other when they are getting along and they don't know I'm listening.
8. When I see them help each other or help someone else
9. When my 10 year old came back from the park with his friend Jared and they told me about how they were telling some girls about Jesus and why He loves them and died for them.
10.  Just watching them!  I love them so much.

#7 just got me! I love to listen in when they are being friends! I pray everyday that my kids will grow up to learn from and lean on one another. Kids are so great!

Mine opened the car door for me this morning after church. I know it's because his SS teacher told him to do it, but it warmed my heart nonetheless.

Happy Mother's Day, friend!

Your loving and appreciating you kiddos makes me love mine a little bit more, too. We really are blessed. Even if we don't get those jeans ready. The exact thing happened to my dtr this a.m.

I am hopping over from Mer's 10 list!

If it makes you feel any better I didn't have time to do the "button" either :)...

What a great list you made, even in a hurry, goes to show you that there is SOOOO much at any given moment to be proud mama's right??

LOVED that your boy shared Jesus with girls!!! That's awesome!

Happy Mother's Day!

#1: Even though I sometimes forget when it's the only word I've heard all day. #2,4,7,8, and 10: Amen and amen. #9: Wow. Just wow. I can't imagine how you must have felt. That's great!

Listening to my children when they are getting along is one of the greatest highlights.

You'd think they'd notice how much more pleasant that is, too.

Saw your page on Meredith's. I'm a OBU alumni as well! It's crazy to see people living all over the world from such a tiny university!
