Some pics from Indianapolis

We just returned from our trip to Indianapolis. We were asked to speak at the national WMU (Women's Missionary Union) meeting on Monday. I spoke once by myself, Charlie and I answered questions as part of a question-and-answer session with other IMB missionaries in the afternoon, then Monday night we had a few minutes to speak to the large group about what we do in Mozambique.

Thank you to Mike and Kecia for keeping Luke and Abby for us and to Neena for keeping Coleson and Will!

Does anyone know the story about this huge cross on the side of
road in Indiana (or is it in Illinois?)
We loved our hotel room....and we had it all to ourselves - for three days!

It was right across the street from Hard Rock.
We didn't eat there - too loud! (Yes we are old.)

Charlie and " Prof "Steeger

Also saw our friend Teresa and Mary!

I got to meet a hero of mine - Rebekah Naylor -

She has been a missionary physician in India for 35 years.

Wanda Lee and me.
I had not seen her since 1981.

There's a cross like that in Oklahoma too. At least I think it's Oklahoma. It might be east Texas. LOL!

I love Dr. Steeger. He used to come to our church in Stephens and do Winter (January) Bible study each year.

And I remember reading stories about Rebekah Naylor's work in India. She's been there a long time. How neat you got to meet her!

Glad you had a good trip!

That was fun seeing Prof. Steeger!
And we saw 2 crosses like that in Tenn./Va. on our vacation. Aren't they pretty? In our first video in the Priscilla Shirer Bible study I'm doing she mentions seeing one on her way to Gatlinburg.
Looking forward to Monday!

I'm pretty sure this cross is the one in Effingham, IL. My son requested that we go there for his 6th birthday. His 99-year-old great-grandmother quoted the ten commandments (etched in stone in English around the perimeter) in her native German for all of us when we were there.

I enjoy your blog!
