Lazy Saturday

For the first time in a long time I am having a lazy day and it's been great! Charlie is in Arkansas all weekend with a friend and the kids and I don't have to be anywhere or do anything until Monday except church tomorrow. This is the first Saturday in a long time that we could sleep in. We were worn out from working/attending VBS this week, which by the way, was really fun. I did not, however, get to sleep in as long as I wanted because a lady from church called at 7:40 this morning! Arrrrggghh. Anyway, I slept later than I have in a long time and that was nice.

Abby and I ran a couple of errands this morning, I've done a little laundry, took a short nap, ironed a few items of clothing, watched Coleson practice driving around the drive-way, shucked some corn a friend brought us from her garden (can't wait to eat that!), swept the back porch, and watched two episodes of What Not To Wear.

Abby and Luke are enjoying a good ole summer-time tradition that my sister and I always loved - spraying each other with the water hose in the back yard!

I'm off to enjoy the rest of my lazy Saturday. I will download the pictures soon from Charlie's sister's wedding that we were a part of last weekend.

We are so much alike! I slept in today (8:00--woo hoo--remember when sleeping in was more like 10?), ironed, ran errands. And night before last the girls ate watermelon outside and I told them to clean off with the water hose when they were done. By the way their faces lit up and they squealed, I knew they knew what I meant. Don't you love good old-fashioned fun?

Aren't lazy Saturday's the greatest? They really don't exist for us, but "lazy Monday" does!

I'm praying you get a few more in before you come back to Moz.
