Feeling Better!

I am happy to report that my cold/crud is almost gone! I am so happy to be feeling better.

This has been a slow week of relaxing and giving our bodies a rest. Charlie preached twice last Sunday a.m. then that afternoon we both crashed. I did speak to a small ladies group on Monday night - I croaked more than I spoke - and enjoyed being able to share with them about Mozambique. But the rest of the week was spent doing very low-key things.

I'm looking forward to seeing more family this week in Arkansas then the week after that we'll drive to my sisters in Ohio!!!

YESTERDAY was a big day in our family - Luke turned 9. We went shopping yesterday morning so he could spend some of his birthday money but the choices were just too overwhelming to him -he just could not decide what to buy. He seemed really relieved when I told him that he didn't have to buy anything! In the afternoon he got to watch a new movie he received as a gift then in the evening we went out for pizza , then came home and ate cake and ice cream. I think the highlight of his day was receiving e-cards and birthday emails from family and friends.
